WHITLAND have jumped up the division one west table to share thelead with Carmarthen Athletic and Waunarlwydd after a hard fought,but deserved 23-21 win at Llanharan.
Club chairman Arwyn Thomas was delighted with the result aftertravelling up the M4.
"It was a good win as it is never easy to win up here. We didwell and looked in a comfortable position with a 21-9 lead butLlanharan came back late into the game," he said.
"The pack put in their best performance of the season in thescrum which was anchored by a tight-head prop, Richard Smith. It wasone of the reasons we came out on top as the scrums provided theplatform for the win.
